Btw. Whence comes the tittle, the name of "boomerang" for this trick? I am more than 44 years old and as far I can remember, since I was a little kid, this trick was already called like this way.

The 1962 Duncan trick book calls it boomerang. My guess is that that it was called boomerang much earlier, but I have no proof.



The 1945 Life article calls it the "jerk" but as the start of the "jerk system" which was a regeneration similar to roller coaster.

In the 60's Duncan wanted to make the hobby popular also with girls, so if the name was still Come to Daddy, it's understandable that they would have replaced it.
