Announcing SpinTopWorkshop.com

Post by Neff »

Sooo... I made a website ;D

spintopworkshop.com

Check out the blog, I have more entries scheduled to come out in the next few days also.

My tip order has not come in yet, but there are a few items in the shop. The shop section is password protected, I am letting one person in at a time, this will get the kinks worked out. A soft opening basically.

Thank you all for your patience.

Spin Top Workshop is the legal name of my business. The website will host products such as the Sweetle by Neff & Norris, and others in the works. The site will also host some basic how-to videos and hopefully beyond. See you there.

Very nice website! Maybe this will be my chance at finally purchasing a sweetle. Can't wait to see what else you add!

Congratulations! Building a website is like building a house. You can design it to your own specs and then invite people to visit ;)

By the way, I seriously need to update the links page on ta0.com . . .

Chris allowed me to beta test the shop workings and it's looking great. Got my order in (order #00001) and expect delivery tomorrow (7/17). Can't wait to join the Sweetle gang.

EDIT: Got my order a day early! The tops are so good looking. I got an LED for shows and a 'Fixie' for regular play. Smooth as butter, perfect balance, long lasting spin. 10/10, would buy again.

Even though I am printing my own (flexible) tops, it was too tempting not to get a LED Sweetle. So I placed order #00002 ;) Prices are great and the shopping cart works smoothly. I like all the options and that it asks if the string should be twisted for a right-handed or a left-handed player.

I don't make my own string, so every year at the KC juggling festival, I stock up on left handed string that Chris makes for me on the spot. What a guy!

Great site Chris, thanks for opportunity to look around and even buy your top.

I am fairly new to the forum and to spin topping, had a curious question on the left handed string? I am left handed and never knew that string had an effect on the top spin, can you elaborate?

Again thank you for the opportunity to be part of this group.

I don't think it effects the play necessarily, but as you wind up the motion is tightening the string instead of loosening the string when you have a twist that matches the hand you throw with. Which order was yours? All of my recent orders selected right hand string and I already sent a few packages out today?

Morning Chris,

my order was number 5; I believe you shipped already. Yeah i opted for right as did not know if it would delay shipping.

Sweetle is really sweet:

I love the shape, the print quality and the translucent look of my limelight LED Sweetle.
I also like the details, like the matching button in two layered colors.
Good size tip for the top, with a neck sized for good wire walking more than strictly regen.
The top is easy to lock and unlock, at least if you don't have thick fingers. I have some concern about how long the thread on the 3D printed locking thing will last, but so far so good.
The LED light cycles between red, green and blue. Because mine is green, the brightness through the walls is much brighter for that color.
If you press on the tip you can see the rubber cushioning at work.
Very nice job! Congratulations!
