That appears to be a stylized version of the P213 skill toy that Chris Neff was making. I snagged this picture from this thread Link = P213 which includes some discussion and video. If you search P213 you can get other threads discussing the top/yoyo combo and other peoples examples.

This tumblr fellow is me!!

I have frequently visited this forum in the past, but I only just registered yesterday.

So here is the story about all of this artwork you are seeing.

I am a graphic designer by trade and artist/illustrator on my off time. I have always loved playing with tops from when I was very little, throw tops, small spin tops, precision tops and the like. I started getting back into them with great fervor a couple years back and came across Chris Neff's youtube videos on how to do tricks with spin tops and quickly became engrossed with watching different trick videos and the like. I'm still extremely horrible at it, all i can do is the boomerang.

Anyway, my skill is in the arts and since i had always loved comics, i wanted to try and create a comic book about a boy who goes on adventures and rides on a top as if it were a skateboard. By the time i was done with the comic, i was missing one more page and thought I would include a fake advertisement to sell tops. That is when I decided to make a tribute to Chris Neff (Kriss Neff) for all of those amazing tutorials i had watched.



Yes, Chris Neff knows about this poster and comic, and I had just sent him a physical copy of both a couple days ago.

I am extremely flattered that all of you have been talking about my artwork and humbled by your compliments!
