throughout history, did adults playing with finger spinning tops ?
Wondering about definitive information, art, literature, catalogs, etc., that might prove that adults played with finger spinning tops? Any sources? Thanks!

The evidence is scarce, but there is some. For example, the Louvre has this finger top made of bone that was found in a tomb around Delphi from the Hellenistic period (323 BC to 31 BC):

Perhaps the earliest evidence is for teetotums. Apparently there are teetotums from the 2nd millenium BC in the Levant (see this thread: Origin of the Teetotum). Because they are betting devices, it's a good bet that they were used by adults.
