New Top Game for the spinning impaired!
« on: July 26, 2009, 08:45:49 AM »

Thank you Paul Kyprie-- pretty cool computer game!

ED, EDD, and EDDY SPINTOP GAME

http://www.swensonfunnies.com/flashgames/ed-edd-eddy-spintop-game.php

I'm a bit put off by the sub-title ---

"These morons want to use their spinning tops to knock out other spinning tops. Ahh the youth of America and their trivial games."

I guess we should just be glad to be included in the "Youth of America"

Fun game, thanks! I am King of the Cul-de-Sac!

Those tops look like Gasings to me: youth of Malaysia perhaps? Anyway, always nice to be called youth . . .

I got a 360 and a 270 and, out of the blue, I got an 810.  I don't
know exactly why I got more points and why it let me play longer.

As long as you don't miss you don't lose energy and if you hit several in a short time you can regain lost energy. There is a yellow bar indicating how much you have left.

Mike: I could had bet you were going to post your score  :D
I was curious to see if there was a next level from King of the Cul-de-Sac, which you get at 200 points. But even at over 2000 points I still got the same. Maybe you will be luckier  ;D ;D

OK.....I'm starting to get better, thanks to Ta0's tips.  When I play it on the conservative side and hit more big tops up close I can keep my energy up for a longer time.  It takes a long time but I did finally get up to 2,000 points.

I'm sure John Buechele is already up to 3,000 and Jorge has 10,000 points!!!

Haha I haven't even gotten 2000 yet. But I'm sure Jorge is more than just "king of the cul-de-sac." I think I would do better if I could use a top like Black Mariah.

Well, my record in not that big:

I couldn't believe the programmer would not add an extra line to provide a hidden surprise, but I got tired of looking the hard way. So I downloaded the flash game to my computer and used a flash decompiler to inspect it. Well, there is no higher title than King of the Cul de Sac!   :(  What a boring programmer!

Anyway, it seems pretty easy to change, so stay tuned . . .  8)

You will have to trust me on this.  But, it won't matter because John Buechele will get 3894 tonight.

I'm not sure if posting the link to this game was a good idea??  I'm glad so many seem to like it, but go back to spinning real tops folks! ;)

Thanks for your concern, Don, but I never stopped throwing real tops.  In fact, I had a couple of good sessions yesterday as breaks from lots of typing at the church.  I have played the Ed, Edd and Eddy game in the dark late at night as a way to wind down from the day.

PS.....you are right.  The words that go with the game are waaaaaay off base.  "The youth of America and their trivial games."  My top spinning isn't trivial and it isn't done by many youth of America.

It is a slow morning here in Miamisburg plus I don't feel that good so I am playing this game to pass the time.  Maybe some on the board haven't seen it?  Anyway, I just got a new personal best and finally broke the 4K barrier with 4061.
