Shakespeare and Cervantes, the founders fathers of English and Spanish literature, both died the same day, 23rd of April of 1616! 

Well, some say Cervantes died 1 day earlier, the 22nd, what would actually make him die 12 days earlier than Shakespeare when you consider that the Julian calendar was 11 days behind the Gregorian calendar (so Shakespeare really died May 4th by the current calendar). But those are just details.

I see announcer Howard Cosell died on this day and also MLK jr. assassin James Earl Ray.  Here is an even bigger name......Boris Yeltsin, first president of Russia!  Yet, I was talking about births on this day.  Wikipedia says Shirley Temple and John Cena (as already mentioned) plus actors Valerie Bertinelli, Jan Hooks and Lee Majors.  Also terrorist Timothy McVeigh.  Runner and author Jim Fixx wrote about the joys of running then died running.  He was also born on the 23rd of April but we are still missing a big name!!!

Ok. Ok.  I see it.  I see where I somehow missed the birthday thread for Dale Oliver.  Yes, he should be on the Wikipedia list of births.  Lee Majors was the 6 million dollar man but Dale is worth much more than that to us!!!
