I really like the wind instrument sound, sometimes relaxing, sometimes not! 

I like his fun poems/songs too. He is a great performer.
I had to laugh when he said "he thought I was completely crazy  (sonné, I think that's what he meant) 
And I learned what a tautogram is.

Didier sings through his instruments. Got lost in the 1st song from beginning to end. Watching him breath life into his instruments was magical. Didn't get to the top/drum part this time. But if it's anything like the one I've seen, it's definitely worth a look.

BTW, if you haven't tried this at home, I highly recommend it. Nothing fancy required. If you have a ball-tipped finger top, try it on every resonant surface you can find -- empty plastic bin, hollow guitar body, glass platter or bowl, tin pan, tambourine, you name it. Every top/resonator combo has its own interesting sound. Add rolling regeneration for extended play and rhythm. Tons of fun!

as i wrote it was recorded live (on march 6th) and broadcast on france musique the national channel
they have excellent equipment and sound engineers and that makes a difference
in fact they spent more time arranging the mikes and mixing, than the performance itself
I really dig when Didier does the circular breathing with the big cheeks

Good to hear.

Would love to see some influential musical groups modeling social distancing in safe online performances. Who has the  most credibility in the mediaworld we all live in now -- musicians, experts, or politicians?

We have started a tradition for the Sunday after Easter.  For the last dozen years or so we have called it "Holy Humor Sunday" with the idea that God played the biggest trick ever on the devil by rising Jesus from the dead and leaving an empty tomb.  A number of places do this celebration and bring out jokes and tricks and other fun stuff to highlight the empty tomb and Jesus being alive again.

Anyway, we have been doing our services online with the corona virus outbreak and I have been doing the whole service by myself (our music people are in their 80's and 90's and should not be around me or any of this).  I can usually "cut loose" with lots of unique and creative things on Holy Humor Sunday and it seems like some of Didier's musical inspiration could be fun for this year.  I will be thinking about this in the coming days!!!
