The New York Times doesn't often break news on the op-ed page, but that's what happened tonight. The accompanying graphic (below -- thanks, ta0) shows a hand twirling 3 spinning tops resembling upside-down Kremlin domes...

Those tops remind me of some of those amazing creations of Alan Gray that were on display in New York City and Italy.
