Maybe this has been addressed earlier . Wondering throwing boomerang ..string gets hung up on tip a lot ..using a thicker string I bought from dale o .wrapping first wraps real tight seems to help ..don't want to send it through a window

check to see if theres an agressive burr on the shoulder of the tip, might be catching the line

First two wraps are tight - then normal wrap. I don't use knots - I use HEAT SHRINK with C.A. TRY IT.

This can also be caused by the string being too long, or by having a hesitation and / or an early snap in your boomerang.

Thanks for feed back things to learn i love it ...working on my first eight ..that patch is like a holy grail to me  I just joined some local top spinners (the college for the easily amused) great people. Thanks everyone in itsa for your welcome

If the string gets some moisture in it, sometimes it will start to act differently.  Even some sweat will occasionally cause it to catch a bit as it is unwinding.

Jack there was a small burr on the under side gave it a quick file and got 10 good boomerangs..thanks everyone
