go top top top..........wait what??? thats not right.......or is it???   ;D
found this on a schoolbus wheel when i was out cruising about an hour ago, settin in a church parking lot, whole thing got kinda akward after i found out there was a bunch of people standing on the other side and here im going click click taking pictures  :-[
any way i dont dont care!!! people need to see this!!! spintops on the wheels on the bus!!!!! go top top top!!!!!!

A little search and I found that they are called lug nut indicators or loose wheel nut indicators: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loose_wheel_nut_indicator
They are much more common in Canada than the US.

I see them on basically every bus here, plus a lot of transport trucks.. at least in recent years.
