Bearing Tip Imperial
« on: September 26, 2014, 01:28:38 PM »

My friend Jevin brought this modded Imperial top to juggling club.  He's a beginning spinner and I think won the Imperial in a raffle?   Both Chad and I spun it and it works really well for an off the shelf Imperial.  We were both able to do Mach 5's and Corkscrews.  Chad did a Gyro flop with no problems.  A bit of a rough mod but super results.  Here's what Jevin said he did:

'I used a 3/8 drill bit with a A size Duncan bearing. I first melted and compressed the the tip so that it would fit in the center of the bearing. Then drilled out the top, reamed it out and then pressed the the tip bearing combo inside. '

Haha. Nice!
As Ta0 said: not something i ever thought i'd see. 8)

I bet a weight ring of some type would improve it a good bit.
