My old spintop mailbox flag broke due to an accident with the trash can. My wife was pretty happy as she hated the quality (as the acrylic did not take the paint well I had decorated it with electrical tape, a la Figaro). I was not going to give up on the spintop flag idea, but I needed to make one that looked better.
I did not find a thin board wide enough that I liked at Woodcraft, so I got three different woods that I laminated in two layers by staggering the front and back in different widths:
This was the first time ever I tried something like this, so I was surprised it worked so well. I was very happy with the result:
