Jim, your videos of the duo are super, great talent.  But I must respectfully disagree, the young man was not trying to entertain in a circus or Las Vegas nightclub.  I think he did a terrific job showing great skill in a freestyle for the venue he was in.  His audience was with him and appreciated what he was doing.  "choregraphy and the rest" would have been an overkill for that venue.

yeah you're right about overstatement// the kids are alright !! ;)

but still this duo "trespace" (whom i know quite well)shows how far you can go with diabolo tricks in a show

it's not "better" it's something else

No question about the duo.  They are a full step above most really good acts.  They show what can be done with a lot of dedicated time, practice, and creativity for amazing shows that people pay a lot of money to see.  If the boy wants to make a living doing diabolo he will need to invest the time etc. to get to a much higher level than he is now.  The duo is at the top of the folks doing what they do full time!

I had the pleasure of seeing trespace perform at one of juggling festivals I went to some years ago.  They were very friendly and spent a lot of time in the gym giving tips and techniques to anyone who asked.  And their show was spectacular!
