Neffy's Green Hornet
« on: May 28, 2012, 09:57:10 PM »

Sorry guys I have being very inactive from the forum lately, I am still spinning. I feel that I owed this video to Mr. Neff. This is the top that I won on the INEPTT project:

Roll starting that top is a challenge, very well done.

That is a video that keeps your attention!  Great idea!

I was worry that you had left the hobby, MatiasStuntMan. It is wonderful to see you posting a video.  Any chances you come to Orlando?

good job on the video. snap starting is not easy. i use bearing tip tops so im not use to snap starting and im not sure if you can even snapstart a bearing tip.
   the top is beautiful.

I agree. quite impressive! :o

Topper: you can snapstart a bearing top but unless its a OWB it will not spin long. I have actually gotten 30+ second spins from snapstarting my bearing Giulia. Or capless BK (I have done both)  Its much harder than fixed though and the top does not spin fast enough to do most tricks.

Nothing but a good challenge for ya ;)

Thirty seconds with a capless BK? Stock bearings? I am sorry, Tyler, but I say video or it didn't happen.  :)

I love the moment when the wobbly roll start becomes a stably spinning green machine. Those moments are rare for me, so I really cherish them.

Yep, I am uploading a video as i type ;)

I used a capless bearing king with a little putty for balancing.

the tip is a stock tip with a modded shape (this does not make a difference off of the string)

And I don't know about the bearings. They are old and loud :)

will update in a few...
