good craftsmanship !

you will find the work a lot easier when you get a lathe !

about the vibrations , you could use blue-tack in the crown to improve the balance : on my giulia-di-legno (by Eric), just a small ball of blue tack at the right place makes a huge difference : it totally kills the vibration!

try it ;)
