No it's not, do you let your button on the end of your string hang down when you wind or do you hold on to it?

The first two wraps around the tip should be very tight to prevent the string from slipping off. This is especially true with bearing kings.

Are you holding the button when you wind the string on the top or are you letting the string hang down so it will not untwist?

you need to keep a knot in the end of the string to keep it together.

then you have to make your own strings which you have to twist in opposite direction, then it wont untwist

How do you make your top string? I make my own top string too. I use a machine made from Knex gears and parts. I like to use top string with a very tight twist. They can also be multiple colors.

I make it like i make my yo-yo string. It is only two strand verses three but it works just as well.

I glue my knots with superglue so they go thru the washer without unraveling. I really cant afford new string and they get dirty quick.

I am trying with not-twisted string. They are made of polietilene and the threads are "trenzados" mixed between its.

Are good for bearing tops but not for fixed tip tops, because its grip is so poor and doesn't add speed to spin.

"Estoy probando cuerdas no retorcidas. Están hechas de polietileno y los hilos que la conforman están trenzados."

"Son buenas para trompos de rodamiento pero no para trompos de punta fija, porque el agarre de la cuerda es muy bajo y no regeneran apenas giro"
