merry go round crazy 8 question.

I can do a merry go round but returning it to my hand has not  been consistent. I try to pop it up when the top is vertical. Any tips?

What kind of problem are you having? Is the top not coming back up straight? If the top is perfectly vertical it might slip off the string or get tangled when you go to pull it up.

well sometimes it lands sideways in my hand on dismount. so how should the top be facing on the dismount?

While you do the MGR turns the tip should be pointing towards your hand. When you dismount you should pull up and towards your hand.  By pulling in the direction the tip is pointing, the top should stand up.
