Pretty cool video Jim!!! I like how you wait with the loop ready already for the tip to come and catch it. It is interesting to see the change on the direction of the precesion, or is the top changing position...hmmm... too tired to think...

Nice to see somebody posting a video with the S8 double tip. That trick is a nice demonstration of the change in the direction of precession. You can do the same with drumbeats to both tips, etc.

I have been meaning to record a video for a couple of weeks, but it seems every night something else comes up or I am too tired. But I'll do it this weekend.

Nice looking trick.  That's the kind of stuff that we love to see and it is really really amazing to non-throwers.

howdie !
thanx for the response , considering it was low light ,back from work, one shot on take,
with no plans to do a video ,just the idea came during the day and i had one double tip in a drawer at the workshop and the giulia had somehow slipped into my school bag ..;i reunited the Vogon with its crown and had a go

now i'm all for the discovery of new double tip tricks
i wonder what creative players like topper777 will come up with

i even dare say that a little 2T contest would  warm up the crowd

i offer a double tip wood top (to be made for the occasion) to the winner
but we would have to find a body of judges (no tips allowed ;D)

wot you think? Jorge ? Chris ? feasible or inept ? (no pun , no cry)

Well, yesterday night I finally filmed several bearing tricks with the two tip Giulia. I was planning to round it up by filming a couple of regen tricks using the two tip Cincy top. In fact, I am trying to rig an overhead camera right now, using a helmet and duct tape  ::)

I guess, I could just stay out of the contest and be a judge. The problem I see is that there are not many two-tip tops out there (although they are mostly in the right hands  ;) ) so I don't know if there would be enough videos. Who is interested?

Well i'm interested.  I'm not in it for a prize, but I need to make myself work on 2T stuff.

So are double tipped tops allowed in Worlds?

Yes, they are allowed. So are giant tops. The thing about 1wb is that they undermine the bearing - fixed tip division and it may not be obvious to a judge if a top has one and so it is difficult to score.
