The party's on!  We've moved down the road to Lincoln this year and the fun will follow.  Three days of festival goodness await those who venture to the great state of Nebraska.  The fun starts Friday night and goes till Sunday afternoon, May 13-15.

For all the details, here's the Flatland page :  http://underthecouch.com/flatland/index.html

By the way, our special guest and Public Show emcee will be our own Mark Hayward!

Pack your best top and come for the spinning!

Hey Rick I can"t wait to see You and all the flatlanders again!!! sorry I took so long to reply but I wasn't sure I could make it but I think I got it covered so I am flatland bound. Is there anyplace in particular that others may be staying close to the venue that I should look into for reservations? Spinning with you soon.

We're checking into getting a discount for festival goers at a motel close to the venue.  Details will be finalized tomorrow I hope have been finalized.  Check the festival site under lodgings.

I have booked my room at the Days Inn South.  If you book now and agree to a no cancellation clause they have good rates.  MacDonalds and Pizza Hut are next door.

I think I will be there this year.
The day before this event I am coming home from 2 week trip to Goa, India. So for me to get there it will be over 45 hrs of travel with 3 lay-overs. I hope to bring some new (or old) tops with me from my trip.
Also, Joe and I will be bringing our skittles boards and tops for a tournament.
If anyone else has a board, bring it with so we can have more than 2 games going on at once.
BRING IT ON!

It sounds like it is going to be a great meet!
Arrg, it is difficult to say no, but it is also difficult to justify paying for the flight the same it would cost me to go to Mexico City to visit Salvador and Gustavo . . .
I'll probably pass this year and go next year to Omaha.

Hey, Jon, see if you have some story about splitting a top in India! (but give the little kid a replacement top).

Skittle bouts sound like a great Idea!! Do we need to talk to someone about having a couple of extra tables? On a slightly different note I found a smokin deal on some saucer sleds and have been boning up on my battle top. I can get a few more sleds if they meet the master of ceremonies approval, Mark? and what would drum up more interest in flatland ? well I think a trophy teaser is about due (Getting so close to battle time I'm sure the masterpiece in nearly finished!)

Yeah... the trophy is almost... uh... finished....   And when I say finished, of course I mean that I haven't started it yet.  I'm actually not sure yet what this one will be.  I'll have to take a look at my sketchbook and see if I have any ideas that I haven't made yet.  I think there are one or two.

Joe, it would be great if you could bring sled(s)/arenas!  I will be flying in, and I can't seem to find a good one anyway.  I trust your judgement on whether they are good for battling.  You've got plenty of experience now.

Yay!!!  NOW it's a party!  Who else is coming?

By the way, this means that Jorge is already practicing for the Battletop Contest.  I see a fierce competition in our future!
