Jim,
Thanks for the input!
Hamley's was already on the list, I go there every time I'm in London. About 8 or 9 years ago I found an entire rack of the Yohans special edition Pro-Yos (the ones with Hans picture on the pogs of white Pro-yos) for 1£ each.......I bought 10 of them.
We'll look for the Pollock Toy Museum, and Ritchie Windsor of "Splitting the Atom" and
http://www.yoyoz.co.uk fame is a friend. So, I've got the yo-yo thing covered, it's "top" contacts I'm interested in.
As to The Kite Store on Neal St. in Covent Garden, Andy and Mark (the owners) are dear old friends. Dorothy and I first went there in 1983, when we first got into sportkites. Sadly, when I was in London last, about a year and a half ago, the store had closed; 26 years in the same location.......
I will indeed have a "Newky Brown" and toast in your honor!
Jorge',
You're absolutely right..."A spintop expedition requires more planning".......However, my son is far more interested in things medieval. so the trip is focussed on castles, abbeys, Druid ruins and the like.....
I will do the obligatory taking of top throwing and yoyoing pictures at famous places.
Cheers
