One Way bearing for QSH.
« on: February 07, 2018, 04:13:42 PM »

Has anyone ever tried to mod a QSH to take a OWB ? I honeslty don't know the current bearing size for the QSH and if it'd be possible to mod the tip to take the bearing! I'd have to do more digging but I was wondering if anyone had done some already!

Cheers,

Looking over some bearing size, if it's a standard A size yoyo bearing. it's too small there isn't any OWB that is done in that dimention but to be certain
I'd need to open my QSH up and try to remove one and see if something is dooable. If anyone attempted it, any troubles ?

The QSH uses a 5x10x4 mm bearing that in the yo-yo world is called A size.
The one-way bearing on the Strummol8 is 4x8x6 mm (HF406), so it's narrower but taller.

Dale Oliver actually had a prototype QHS with a one-way bearing at one time, if I recall correctly. He would be the guy to ask.

Dale's answer is "NO". If anyone has any idea on how to achieve it! Lets chat about it here!
