Walk the dog

I finally got "walk the dog"!  I can't figure out why it took me so long. It is not really very hard to do. I also can't figure out why I have never seen this done with a top before.

Can you describe the trick or better post a video?

Once at US nats, Jon Gates did something that looked like a walk the dog. There is a video somewhere.

Don Antonio Diaz from Colombia does a trick called "El Perrito' (the doggy) at 2:37 into this video posted by MatiasStuntMan.

Is this similar to your "walk the dog" Kirk?

No. What I have done is a regular yoyo style walk the dog.  Throw a trapeze - wait for the top to precess until the point is to the right. - set the top on the floor - walk - return to hand.

I figured that this has to have been done before.   I guess I got the idea from Miki san.  He did this with a chonkake. (2015 worlds perhaps)
