An article in the Sunday newspaper talked about people who have visited all 50 states and asked people to think about how many they have been in.  Along with the article it showed some interesting sights and one was from Alma, Arkansas..........a Popeye water tower!  Upon looking up Alma, I found they also have a very nice Popeye statue in town.  I will have to visit there someday.  The other little bit of trivia they highlighted was the fact that Popeye is the Sunday funny celebrity with the most statues erected of him.  Odd fact, don't you think?

By the way, I have been in 40 states (I am missing the northeast, the northwest, Alaska and Hawaii).  I'll bet there are some people here who have been in more states than that (Dick?).

Ha, finally some bragging rights over the Earl. I have been to 44 states. No Alaska or Hawaii for me either and I'm also missing the Deep South.
