New Top Spinner in the making?
« on: December 04, 2010, 12:01:37 AM »

Exciting news today from a  coworker of mine.
During the Thanksgiving Holiday a coworkers son discovered finger tops, he is 9 years old.  His mom shared that news with me knowing my love of tops.  The next day I brought in a Saturno Jr. for her to give to him.  Well, tonight, after we left the office, she sent me this e-mail:

"When I arrived home this evening, I was greeted by my son who was excited because he had spun the top 4 times!

He has been trying to repeat the feat for the past hour, with some success. The advice and links you gave me are really helping. Thanks again!"

Man, am I excited!   ;D
Perhaps we have another dedicated Top Spinner in the making.
I wish I could have been there tonight to see his enthusiasm and success!   ;D ;D ;D

(Thanks to you Chris Neff!  Much of the advice I passed on I learned from you.  8))

Yippee!  Another top spinner.  Good work, Larry D.

It sounds like you are slowly turning your area into a top haven!

Yes Larry thanks for spreading the love!! Your enthusiasm and good spirit make the sport even more attractive to newcomers. I too got to work with a new spinner, I got to spend a little time (and regretfully only a little because I was running late for club) with a very promising new spinner "Free"  he is a very talented yoyo player and is very quickly taking to spin tops!! It is so exciting to see so many new players getting into the spintop world.
