Here are the 17 18 photographs for the 2013 contest (there were a few more, specially from Prague, that would be worthwhile, but they have not been nominated and I think we already have enough). The credit on the photo is first for the photographer but if it was not taken by a member of the board then it is credited to the player featured in it. On the first round you can select up to 3 photographs. There will be a second round with the 3 finalists, unless one photographs gets many more votes than any other. Voting for the first phase will last 4 days.

Mark's boomerang is the clear leader, with Dave's plane and Kirk's girls solidly behind. Will they be the 3 finalist or can another photo still move ahead? Voting for this phase ends tomorrow, the 6th, around noon time here.

I appreciate the contest and the fun. And with my step-daughter in the contest it gave me the opportunity to talk tops with the household. My wife (who is a board member but has never posted) even voted!

yeah it's the problem with this photo
there is a fair depth of field but Kirk' s back takes too much space

Hi,
I did a little "clean up" to this image. When I sent it to Kirk so he could post it, I did not know it would get snagged for a photo competition!
I re-cropped slightly. Cropping in further would make it out of balance. There is probably a nice joke there about keeping a photo of a spinning top in balance.

I removed a couple of small distractions also.
BTW, I do not have model releases from my subjects! So please do not repost anywhere outside of this forum.

Thanks Rachel. I replaced the original with the new cropped one (I know some people are spinning on their chairs at my lose enforcement of the contest rules, but spinning is not bad

) I agree it is better balanced :-X
