No, but my base has this ultra hard double domed sapphire component embedded in a super cool black shiny unearthly plate!

I also found something else on Amazon that I want to try as tip/stem if I ever go into another round of self assembled endurance spin tops:

"Tungsten Carbide Replacement marking tips, Engraving Pen Machinist Carbide Scribe Tool Etching Pen With Clip for Glass/Ceramics/Metal Sheet"

Carbide tips are excellent for longest spins. Just be aware that they tend to rapidly dig a microscopic concavity in the spinning surface, (unless of very light tops, but light tops are not for longest spins), even if the spinning surface is made of a hard material like ruby or sapphire, then the top wobbles persistently while spinning on that almost invisible concavity. With a 300 grams top, a carbide tip and a carbide spinning surface, the top can start having this spontaneous and persistent wobble even after only one hour spinning. For this reason I use mainly HSS tips in my tops, which are much more gentle with the spinning surface, and carbide tips only when I want to try an endurance record.
