Just looking at that scrambling of the 2x4x6 made me dizzy. By the way, why is it not a 2x2x6?
I'm not sure if I want to attempt solving twisting puzzles beyond the Rubik cube. However, I'll sure make an exception for your spintop twisting puzzle.

I don't have that much left to finish (a first prototype at least), but I don't know how it can be printed, I think it should be modeled first how the pieces will be distributed at the moment of being printed one by one.

I have been somewhat inactive with this project although I already finished a prototype, I improved the core and internal parts, I also hollowed out the parts (attached image). The truth I have not been able to advance more because I do not know how to program the printing, so I'm waiting for a friend so he can do it in his free time, the truth is I would like to be able to test but well, I will have to wait some more time.

I made these color combinations that I found interesting:

Thank you very much for your comments.
I have finally finished my project.
As a Rubik's cube it works quite well but when used as a spinning top it loses stability (something I was afraid of), however, I think it is possible to correct that with some strong magnets. This implies redesigning some pieces, but I will leave that for a second version (second project).
In spite of this I was quite happy with the result.
I thank Jeremy Erazo and Gerardo Lizama for their cooperation with the printing.

I'll be interested to hear how the follow-up project goes. It takes a lot of speed to stabilize the peg top mass distribution against gravity. Reaching operating speed will probably involve a starter of some kind. The starting torque and centrifugal force acting on each segment will be substantial. The resulting deformation could generate a lot of wobble, at least transiently. And the wobble could shake loose even more deformation.
Quite an engineering challenge.

A regular 3x3 Rubik's cube would resist pretty well being spun at spintop speed, I would think (I have one in my hands right now). I think this spintop puzzle would have the potential of being equally sturdy to centrifugal forces pushing away from the axis of symmetry.
Is it the moving mechanism equivalent to that of a 3x3 Rubik's cube?
So how difficult is it as a puzzle?
