Here is a video promoting the event. Please share with friends who may not know how it works!
Not a super detailed video, just a couple of minutes to give the gist of the event.

If I was at a driving distance I would go just to take part on this. It will be a lot of fun!
Is there going to be one of those one-of-a-kind mobile trophies?
By the way, the dates of the yo-yo contest are June 27th to 29th: https://nationalyoyocontest.com/
Dazzling Dave's Battle Top & Championship is listed on the schedule on Saturday at 9:00 PM. The single day spectator pass is $30.

Re: Spin top battle at the US national yo-yo championship
Thanks for putting in some of those details Jorge.
There is hopefully going to be a trophy provided by last year‘s winner.
We will see if it arrives on time.
There will also be special Spintops medals provided by the national yo-yo league for first through third place.
And I’m sure there will be tops thrown more than just during that time period of the workshop and battle. I will be having them out all weekend hopefully teaching people and having fun!

Re: Spin top battle at the US national yo-yo championship
I’m gonna tag along to this thread as it happened in Vegas. Today, Sunday, I showed up just to hang out with everyone. I handed out a few Star tops for anyone who wanted one. Plus I worked with a few on “how to”. So here’s Luke Renner, known for 2a yo-yo. If he becomes an amazing well known top player, just remember I taught him

I'm glad that you could make it to yo-yo nats in Vegas!
Did you hear any comments from the top battle on Saturday? Did you meet Dazzling Dave? Any other top spinners? I imagine Ian Smith was also there.
Were they selling tops in the booths? I imagine at least YoyoSam was.

Yep. I got to hang out with dazzling Dave and John Gates. Ian Smith was in fact there. I missed out on the Saturday night top activities though. There was a fellow named Adam, but I didn’t get his last name. I gave out a couple Star trompos that Gerardo had sent me. Several kids tried also. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.

Wow! Takeshi was there! And he did the tangler trick (T3 = Takeshi Top Tangler):
When he first landed it 20 years ago at nats in Chico, CA, I was there. So was Jon, who is behind him on the video. Time flies, but we haven't stop playing!
In hindsight, we should have had US spintop Nats with the yo-yo nats in Vegas this year, for the sake of players living in the West. Missed opportunity . . .
