This was filmed in Gruyère, Switzerland, a small medieval village around a castle. The top was spinning on an opening (embrasure) on a protection wall. You can see the end of the wall here (but I was several openings to the left):
I saw the top fall and get lost in the vegetation at the slope at the base of the wall. This was my favorite bearing top, a Giulia with a custom dye job that I have spun on the hands of hundreds of children. So, I tried to retrieve it. From a side road (Charrière des Morts) I climbed to the base of the square tower. There there is a 2 meter wire fence that clearly marks that it's not open to the public (private?). You can barely see it on the photo. I climbed over the fence and walked against the wall until I was under the correct opening on the wall. Fortunately, it was less steep there and I started looking for the top. But as soon as I put my hand through the wild plants I got stung. I tried again at a different location and the same thing happened. The leaves were somewhat poisonous! I didn't get blisters but it stung until the next day. I was half an hour trying to find the top by stumping on the vegetation but no luck. At least I wasn't arrested for trespassing.
