Strummol8 questions

Post by Neu »

I am planning to get an Augusta, but I am kinda afraid of the durability of this top. Since the top is made out of delrin and aluminium, does the glue keep them together?

Do you guys know a place to get more protruded bearings and one way bearing spacers for strummol8 tops? I don't see those items on the site.

Hello Mister Anonymous Neu
About the Augusta ,don't worry the metal ring is press-fit and the Delrin is a very very heavy duty material...giulia,stb1 ..2 sofia ,augusta,alice...

I have never broken a strummolo8

no ifs or buts
these tops are nuts

Although the cap can come out after a hard side fall, you can snap it right-back in, as Jim said.

The only S8 tops that have ever been reported broken are the STB 2.5 made with two glued delrin parts.

Hallo, the bearings are easy to find on web shops, they are the classic Duncan yoyo size and the owb is easy to find too.
Anyway all is present in the shop.

Do you sell the metal spacers as well? I only see the bearings on strummol8 site.

Are the Dionisia and Augusta the same height? I'm guessing yes, but wanted to know for sure.

Thanks Maurizio, I appreciate the confirmation.

Are the tips in the Alice unique to Alice, or are they interchangeable with the rest of the S8 models?

Alice is fixed tip only, is made to be cheap as entry level top. Is not possible to change it.
