Re: Another Toycrafter Adventure
The van is loaded to the brim. I am exhausted but ready for my trip back to Miamisburg. Jim Neff asks “will this be your last trip?” Then he laughs and says “Of course not. Who knows where else Don has tops hidden.” I have been trying to figure out how many times I have been to Rochester. I believe ...

Re: Another Toycrafter Adventure
I had another birthday and as I reflected on bds of the past I remember some connected to Rochester. I did some searching and found this and decided to have another Toycrafter adventure near my birthday. I have a big mini van and the seats are all down (except the driver and passenger.) Lots of ...

Re: June 9th is national Earl Day!!!
Thanks for that insight. I feel a little bit better. I wonder if Earl Scruggs or Earl Campbell celebrate the day? Definitely the Earl of Sandwich does not celebrate it, as he has been gone for several hundred years. Oh, and now there is the restaurant chain with the title of Earl of Sandwich. But ...

Re: Schreiber
Jim Schreiber’s burial place is in the papers today. I had no idea about this connection. There is a big article all about the Trail of Tears that happened in the late 1830’s. The paper states “Most of the people reached Indian Territory by 1839. About 16,000 Cherokee would eventually settle near ...

Stupid tariffs. I dearly love toy stores and hate to see them have to deal with all of this.

Re: habemus papam
With all of his time spent in Peru, there is a good chance he has done some trompo spinning. He seems like a fun pope as he plays Wordle, cheers for the Chicago White Sox, plays tennis, loves pizza and is a fan of Villanova (where he went to school). He seems like a guy who does lots of neat stuff ...

Re: "The Boy & Dog" tombstone/monument in Dayton, Ohio
I had a funeral in this cemetery today. I hardly ever have burials in this place. It is quite famous with the Wright brothers here and also the writer Erma Bombeck. Of course, I stopped by the boy and his dog, like many others do. Last time I was here it was with Jun. His visit makes this place even ...

Re: labor day...
This is not a Labor Day post but it is about a parade. The opening day parade for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team was held recently. This is the fourth year I have been on my unicycle in that parade (officially known as the Findlay Street Market parade). I meet up with a group of elementary ...
