Worlds Registration Question
« on: July 27, 2010, 08:06:45 PM »

Hey, so a few weeks ago I registered for both the spin top freestyle and ladder for worlds. I talked to jon gates and he said that in the past you could only do one. I would like to do both, but I'm not sure if you're allowed to. If I can only do one, who can I talk to to make sure that it's the freestyle, not the ladder? Seeing how I registered for them both?

I believe the ladder is intended for players who are not ready for freestyle so they have a chance at competing.  I think the Judges (ta0 and Dick) will bump you up  ;D

Yes, don't worry, you will be able to freestyle. Actually, even if you didn't preregister you will be able to freestyle in tops.
If for some reason weird reason there is nobody doing the ladder in the 17 plus age group (but it won't happen) I will let you do the ladder. But then I will also enter  ;D

What about; anyone can do the ladder but for freestylers their score will not be used to select the ladder winners.

Sorry, we should have said Sport Division. It used to be a ladder in which you had to do the tricks in the order given, climbing the list from those generally considered easier to the more difficult. But that is not anymore the case: you can do them in any order you choose.
