Best unit conversion program/website
« on: August 21, 2021, 01:23:03 AM »

I am determined to become "fluent" with the metric system. But having used Imperial units most of my life (and living in the US!) it doesn't come easy.
My favorite website (most used, other than Google) is Convert for Windows – joshmadison.com  It is the best unit conversion tool I have ever encountered.
No, this is not a commercial. It is still free, I believe.

It's not worth doing if you're not obsessed about it.

You'll be happy you made the switch. We usually use millimeters and grams when speaking about tops around here. But physics calculations are always much simpler in SI units (superset of the metric MKS system).

I also tend to use Google on my phone. On my laptop, I usually just use the calculator built into Windows 10: Free, handy, wide range of units, and easy to use. Same for Windows 7.
