Today I cast a metal stem top. I wasn't expecting much on the performance side since casting is not the most precise way to make a top. After a spin or two though, I clocked a time of 7 minutes!

Seven minutes of spin is pretty good for a cast metal home-made top!

Thanks ortwin! In college my little brother and I used to challenge each other to who could make the longest spinning LEGO top...he always won, now he's an engineer
Hopefully the next version of this top will be able to achieve a 10 minute spin time. Just waiting on some ceramic bearings and working out some printer settings. There's devices that can do this! Do you have any suggestions on what I should get?
