Wooden Spectraply Tops

I've been experimenting with trompos made of birch spectraply, and with delrin tips!  I make them on my wood lathe, and I think they are a lot of fun!  Both of these are fixed tips.

Your tops look very nice! Quick question: in the video it looks like you are a left handed player, is that the case or is it just the mirrored video?  ???

You are a pretty good player and top maker, I see!  :D

You should also check out some of the other spectraply tops on the forum!

Jeremy, nobody said "spectral py", it is "spectra ply"!

Spectraply is a plywood made of yellow birch, but the layers are dyed colors before they are laminated together.

Nice tops thanks for sharing. I would get in touch with Neff, or Jose, and buy some large tips for large tops. Life is Good.

Thanks!  The ones I made here are about 3 inches in diameter, and I want to try some 5 inch and larger tops.

Thanks!  I started learning from youtube tutorials (Chris Neff, Dazzling Dave, etc.)

I also figure some tricks by myself, and by mimicking other people's tricks.  I think my 20 years of yoyoing helped me learn spintop tricks quickly.
