Kinematic viscosity measures the rate at which momentum diffuses through a fluid. Wasn't expecting it to be higher on Mars.

It's not very sensitive to pressure, so must have to do with the low mean temperature, the high CO2 content, or both.

I was also very surprised that the kinematic viscosity would be bigger in Mars and that's why I checked.
The dynamic viscosity on Earth is still about two times bigger than on Mars.

Glad you enjoyed them! As you can see, I'm totally obsessed at this point.

You didn't see Martians because they all moved to Titan when they saw us coming.

NASA had a "Wright Brothers moment" yesterday when its $80M proof-of-concept helicopter Ingenuity successfully lifted off the ground, hovered, and landed on its feet for the first time.

https://youtu.be/wMnOo2zcjXA

For Earthlings, at least, it was the first flight of an aircraft of any kind on anothet planet.

Seems like NASA could launch a spinning top on Mars next time it lands there for a lot less than $80M. It'd have to be made of some kind of unobtainium, of course, cuz that's just how JPL rolls. And there'd have to be some kind of fancy autonomous robotic starter in the belly of the rover. But that would be child's play for them.

Write your congressman!  We could be on the advisory board! And The Earl's "Happiness runs in a circular motion" would be a perfect inscription. Nobody knows that better than NASA.

Donovan -- what a blast from my hippie past! You chose your sig well, and now I have a melody for it.

Thanks for the video Mike! That took me down a rabbit/memory hole of Donovan songs. I didn't realize how many hits he had and what a unique sound he had for the times. 'Atlantis' is a powerful and beautiful song about the lost continent. Took me a long time to climb out of that history hole. 'Mellow Yellow', 'Hurdy Gurdy Man', 'Sunshine Superman', so many more. If you like folk/rock/psychedelic give Donovan a listen.

He does a good job handling that crowd, doesn’t he?  Even when they go faster and faster and faster and then slow down for the finish, he pulls them all together.  Quite impressive!!!  The cheers at the end show how the group really appreciated it.

Glad to see lincolnrick enjoy some of the good work of Donovan.  He was quite the man there for a long time.  He also did the music for the movie “Brother Sun and Sister Moon.”  You might enjoy looking that up, also.  Our local connection is that he once played at the Canal Street Tavern in downtown Dayton near where the Dayton Dragons play minor league baseball.  His signed picture hangs on the wall there.

Sadly, after some research, it looks like the Canal Street Tavern is permanently closed!  Rats!!!
