Simonelli spinning top Nr. 47
« on: April 30, 2020, 06:24:58 AM »

A new large size/recessed tip spinning top.  I experimented making two decorative rings instead of one, (one of turquoises and one of holographic powders).  I added some blue patina on the holographic band, so the whole holographic band has blue tonalities, opposite to the warm tonalities of the iroko.

The top is made of brass, iroko, inox steel, turquoises, epoxy resin and holographic powders.  Flywheel diameter 60 mm.  Weight of the top 270 grams.  Spin times up to almost one hour.  Balance screws in the flywheel.  Replaceable tips that can be resharpened.

My tops are quite particular.  I prepared a "manual.pdf" with a detailed description of their features, which can be downloaded at the link below, (the link will be active only for one week from today, not my choice but I am using the free version of Wetransfer).  Also there are the photos of all the tops I made:

Wow! You put a lot of work on that Manual! Very nice! Thanks for sharing it!
It's wonderful that you have taken photos and numbered every top you have made.

Thank you, Earl !  The wisteria in my garden were wonderful especially about two weeks ago, when I made the first photos, which I used for the last sequence.

Thank you !  I had to make that manual sooner or later, because, without it, with every new customer I had to explain these things again and again and in the long run it was quite time consuming.  Now, thanks to the coronavirus, I had some extra free time for to make it.
