Together with my friends Joel and Lee, I am working on the release of a spin top known as the Sweetle. It is a 3.25" diameter, +/-150 gram 3D printed top with a double-bearing tip that is easily convertible to fixed tip, has a protected lower bearing, and an LED attachment available for bodies printed in translucent filament. The Sweetle was originally going to be fixed tip only to suit my personal preferences, but this top is not for me. This top will be a workhorse for all levels of skill and a great transition out of the yo-yo sized tops and on to bigger and better things (without being too intimidating
).
We are working on a small first run, more details when they are ready, but in the meantime, we have a few prototypes that did not work out for bearing... well, we did have a few... I have one left at the moment. For these, I filled the bearing cores with resin and put in the same steel-reinforced HDPE tips that I put in my Sodatops. This one is far from perfect looking, but plays great.
Starting price is $45. Send me a message to place your bid. International purchasers will need to add $15 to their bid for shipping. Money from this sale will help pay for production of this first run of Sweetles. I will close the auction this coming Friday Feb 14 at 7pm CST.
