Goody Spin Top
« on: July 25, 2019, 09:57:57 PM »

A buddy of mine found this Goody spin top at a an antique store. If I remember right, Goody yo-yos are less common, but I am not sure what the rarity of this thing is.

I've never seen the brand before. It looks like it's in supergood condition. I always check for old tops in antique stores but I almost never find any.

They are not common. I have bid a few times on Ebay for one but didn't win.

If my memory doesn't fail me, Steve Brown had a spintop Goody patch, many years ago. He was asking more than what I was willing to pay. I never saw another one.

Ha!  I found one.  It is pretty banged up but it is definitely a Goody.  It is solid red, without a yellow stripe like the one Neff has.  I will keep looking to see if I have any other items along this line.

Here are a few I just purchased on eBay, from the collection of Dan Lassanske.

Oh?  Part of his collection is still out there being sold?  Interesting!!!

Good purchase, Texture.  Three different colors, too!

Good catch. I saw that auction but as I don't collect by color I didn't want to pay for the three. If you don't want to keep the three, I would be interested in one.

Yeah, I have a package on the way, right now.  ::)
