Please help me learn to throw tops

Hi,

I have only ever made finger tops, however I am always open to learning new skills and throwing tops looks fun! I have absolutely no knowledge on how to make a top spin with rope. I know there are many talented top throwers on this website so if you have any personal tips for a complete beginner, then please reply and let me know.

Hmm.  I have not seen either of these videos.  I like them!  I think they will help a lot of people getting started with their throwing.

James.....get as far as you can and let us know how you are doing.  People around these parts love to help out.  As you look back a few weeks and months from now, you will be shocked at your progress!!!

I have a vhs of Val and dale lot of yoyo stuff but some spin top instruction at the end plus must see Herman lau spinning . Pm me if you want I would let you use it

P.S I found my dvd version of it spinology yoyo and spintop instruction is the name .offer still good to borrow it I would give you Vhs copy.
