It does have its own look. I keeps reminding me of Jon Gates, even though he does not do that trick.

One day we could have a challenge: do a freestyle without letting go the string from the hands!  >:D

EDIT: Actually, the Mexicans already mostly don't let the string go (because of the ring). The challenge would be to also not grab the string close to the other hand.

This is a great question and I am not sure how to answer it yet. I think all it is... is just a little slack with the non-throw hand instead of letting go.
