Name of Tip Parts
« on: September 05, 2014, 04:42:25 PM »

I'm thinking of learning to modify and maybe make my own tips, so I've been reading up on the subject, but I am confused as to the names given to the different parts of the Tips. Terms like head, neck, shoulder, chin.....and others.
I'm attaching a picture of a C-Tip with lines and numbers to the different parts and maybe you can all help me with the different names given to each part.
Thanks.

This is what Neff proposed (link):

The term "chin" was his idea and I think it was genius.

Thinking about what I read on the mentioned thread, when shaping the tips shoulder to match the angle of the body, do you measure  the angle by eye or is there a good instrument or method to do it?
