Elevator/Cablecar variations by Gus
« on: April 07, 2013, 01:36:11 PM »

Here Gus shows a few elevator / cablecar (teleferico) variations.

He starts by telling the story of how it was inspired by a kid, Benjamin, who misunderstood the instructions to do hop-the-fence and instead mounted it on the string. Gus showed the move to another demonstrator, Oscar, who showed him a related yo-yo mount.  From there Gus added a bind and started the walk.

Enjoy!

I love it.

I first saw Salvador de la Rosa do this trick at the beginning of Pulp's video:

I've done it from a snap start after 6 or 7 joker chokers.

First person to post an uncut video of snap start to regens to barrel rolls to elevator BEFORE I DO wins a dozen Neffy strings!

Ha! I would call the challenge insane!  ::)

The video was filmed in the condominium where Gus grew up.  The woman sitting in the background is Gus's mother (she can throw a top).  We played there for up to 8 hours straight for several days (with Salvador and Gus' nephew, Brian), eating what his mother or Salvador's wife brought down for us.  Times of bliss!  8)
