Sensei divining card
« on: January 06, 2013, 11:16:25 AM »

This card is on an auction ending today on ebay (www.ebay.com/itm/281045017388):

I have no idea what it is or why it has 13 bids and has gone up to $240 (starting bid $0.99)!  :o

I just found another (www.ebay.com/itm/140901482883) ending today with a starting bid of $45 and not bids, so go figure!  ???

And another (www.ebay.com/itm/251097577667) with no signature and a buy-it-now price of $480!  :o (this seller has sold almost 2500 items, so I guess he knows something).

Crazy! Just scan and print the card!  ;D

Wow, I've seen some cards from card games go for a lot. I had a friend that sold some of his magic cards for more than that. I have never got into card games so much I'd be willing to buy cards at prices like that but I know a lot of people who have. Most of them play a lot of higher end tournaments where rare cards and cash are prizes.

Sold for $316! :o

The buyer could have bought:
3 Giulias...or 4 STB2.0s... or 6 Loves or 3 Sophias...  :-\

This gives me an idea for a new video this coming Christmas: The 12 Tops of Christmas! hmmm ;D

I guess a picture of a top is better than no top at all! ;)

I looked at more auctions and it seems that the treasured one by collectors is the Japanese foil version.  The same card translated to English and no foil goes for about $15.

Artificially created "rare" cards is a good example of the "hype" Jim was asking about.

Dave Bazan used to sell playing/trading cards on Ebay. He would know more about this market.
