Candy Corn top
« on: December 09, 2012, 10:22:12 PM »

I recently created a one-of-a-kind Candy Corn top for a friend's 60th birthday.  I'm thinking about something for Christmas with Christmas candy ---- or maybe something with those chocolate coins used for the dreidel game?  Click here for a video... http://louisesdaughter.blogspot.com/2012/12/i-recently-created-one-of-kind-candy.html

Very cool top.  :)

For the Christmas top you could make the spin stick out of a candy cane and the round part from hard ginger bread. Balance it out with candy or frosting. Ok, I'm going to find a snack.

I love it!  I will try it and show it to some twins in our town.  I am helping them learn to ride unicycles and they said they want to cook me something as a thank you.  I am going to ask for top related foods for my tummy and for the hall of fame.  Could be a problem with mice again (a couple years ago they ate out the inside of some of my juggling balls).

Candy Corn top not really very edible anymore - glued with "Duco cement" type glue - the Elmers just dissolved the outer layer of sugar?  Also, I clear coated the whole thing in lacquer for durability?  I just had a thought that the candy corn might just make a nice stem?
