Just dyed the new top

Heres the newest top i just took off the lathe. i cant decide what color to dye it yet. but i wanted to show it to all of you.

It's nice, but I think the point is not appropriate, I think the groove should be finer.

The tip does seem a bit fat. Are those black grooves cut and/or burned into the top? If it is to be an acrobatic top, you might want to avoid putting those on. They can really affect play by catching the string.

Nice looking top.  After you dye it, it will be gorgeous.

Did you hollow it? How much?

By the way, I carefully peeled out the stickers on my Giulias and placed them on butter paper so I can replace them when I decide to retire the tops to the display shelf.

thanks for the feedback guys. i didnt hollow this one out. and yes the lines are cut and burned..  ill just use this one as a throw top..

don't take the critics into account
your top is fine as it is ,with stripes and burns
it won't prevent you from wirewalkering it
what is the wood essence ?

You are exactly right, the top is great as it is. I just thought that Woodguy was looking for feedback as he builds his top-making skills.

Woodguy, I didn't mean any disrespect. The dye looks great.
