What now?
« on: December 11, 2011, 10:55:06 PM »

At the beginning of November, I set a goal to learn all of the basic regens by Christmas. Last night I tested myself and I performed at least 15 reps of roller coaster, sewing machine, drum beat, joker choker, and magnetic wires. What do I do now? I think that I am getting to the outer boundary of my potential. Any trick, beyond the intermediate level tricks that I can do now, seems impossible. Can anyone offer some suggestions for new tricks to try?

I just watched the S8 compilation video...wow, you all are so talented. You are way beyond what I imagined was possible with a spinning toy.  :o

Congratulations on your regen work.  That is quite a lot of progress in the short time you have been with us.

Have you done much with the top spinning ladder yet?  Have you looked at the Spintastics patches?  Or are you looking for more regeneration tricks?

dear Justin

your progression is impressive  :D :D
for fix tip play : arachnids and lazadas are the next targets
besides that i highly recommend you start building up a freestyle with coordination to the music/soundtrack : it IS the next step, i can tell you that knowing a routine "by heart" will help you a lot in demos and will give you an "anti stage fright" edge in case of competition or stage show

keep up the good work , and you're the lucky guy to have Jorge close by to help you ;) ;)

Thanks! I have been working on the ladder. That is actually what the crossed out numbers represent on the bottom of my posts. I need to update those, I think I am into 30 at this point. I guess I will start work on the arachnids and lazados. They seem out of reach, though. The routine is also a great idea. I will start that, too.

I agree about having Jorge so close. I would not have progressed this far if it were not for his instruction--he is an excellent teacher.

I don't know if I should confess this, but the first time you posted I checked the numbers on Google and I got many different possibilities: Matthew 13:40, Surat Ar-Ra`d [13:40] , 1 Nephi 13:40, ??????? 13:40, and perhaps the Book of Mormons . . . :-[

Can you do Acensor (elevator)?  After I learned that I felt like no trick was out of reach.

I cannot. I have been trying. Though, I just received a beautiful early birthday present that is made out of black delrin and awesomeness...so maybe I will do it today.  ;D

Surely this is not what you are talking about:

tutorial peonza "ascensor" (6)

The elevator you are talking about involves a full string climb after binding over your hand? Like a vertical cable car?

I know a little about maieutic. I do research on nonconscious thought processes and latent memory. Didn't Plato present it in the Dialogues of Socrates? Spiritual midwifery.

As for INEPTT, I must admit I was not around for the first project so I am not 100% sure what it is all about. Jorge and I chatted about it briefly, but I don't know all of the details.
