Cuper sent me a link to a video of an animated version of the very popular Mexican comedy show from about 35 years ago, "El Chavo del Ocho" (the kid of apartment eight). If you don't understand Spanish you may want to skip to the spintop scene from about 4:30 to 6:00:

Can anybody do the hand-to-hand walk that El Chavo does? Several years ago, two different people who saw me throwing tops in a park told me: "my dad/uncle back in Mexico could walk the top from one hand to the other." I don't know if it was just an exaggeration or it was true.  At the time I tried it but was not successful. I was going to call it The Mexican Walk.

It is hard to see a top belittled, then tossed to the side, then picked up by a bird and then destroyed by lightning.  At least he was with a beautiful girl at the end!!!
