i had not seen your message........and now , watching the video again i realize that it turns out to be a good tutorial :
big tops are not very forgiving , so you have to do all the elements in order and kind of "clean"
for corkscrew :
hard throw and have the top straight in hand
wrap around without losing time , tight enough
put the arm in an upright position
start the movement but let the top do the job (don't try to accelerate the movement)
finally let it do a few more MGRs before catching it back
and it works !!
