After the phenomenal success of the 2010 photo contest, we will have another one this year. The prizes will be determined at a later day but the main award is bragging rights and sharing a great photo. To be eligible, the photo needs to be somehow spintop related, taken in 2011, and either taken by a member of the board or featuring a member of the board. If the photographer is not a member the prize goes to the player in the photograph. Otherwise it goes to the photographer. The winner will be selecting by a poll on the board. Deadline is December 31, 2011, 23:59:59 GMT-11.
There will be a special prize for the best picture caption (anybody can propose a caption for any picture). The winner of the caption contest will be determined 3 judges to be announced.
That's it as far as rules. We recommend that those proposing a picture also give them a name/title.

Is there a limit to how many entries are allowed per person?

In principle there is no limit, but if you send too many I'll preselect what I think are the best 4 or 5, for example, so you do not crowd out the rest of the photos. Also, the photos need to be distinct: if you submit 100 photos of your cat chasing a top, I may preselect just one.

Drat!  Now you are telling me that you are not interested in my fantastic fancy cat/fancy top collection?  And she looked so cute when she was chasing those terrible trompos.  The best shots were when we put a picture of ta0's face on the top.  She really went after them at that point.

I also want to highlight the fact that Mark Hayward's pool ball shots are from Miamisburg in the good old USA (I was his assistant!).

Thanks Mike.  I just realized that it depicts the word "YoYo" too, the other skill toy I (and I believe many of us in this forum) also love very much.  LOL.
